Overnight, the internet ridiculed President Donald Trump for the bizarre statement that a photo I.D. is required for everything except voting, including buying groceries.

During the daily press briefing Wednesday, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders defended the president, saying an I.D. would be used to buy beer or wine. The president, however, said that he doesn't drink and never drinks.

“When was the last time the president went to a grocery store?” one reporter asked.

The internet got in on the game Wednesday and Thursday using the hashtag #TrumpGroceryStores. Users crafted names for the kind of grocery store the president would use with a twist of mockery.
