While touring North Carolina to access the damage from Hurricane Florence, President Donald Trump joked with a man who had suffered so greatly that a boat washed up in his backyard.
Trump reportedly asked the man, "Is this your boat?"
The homeowner, described as "an older man" by the pool report, said the yacht was not his.
"At least you got a nice boat out of the deal," Trump told the man, according to New York Times White House correspondent Mark Landler, who is traveling with the president.
Earlier in the tour, a reported gasped after President Trump told a storm victim to "have a good time."
