New reports on plea deal negotiations between Paul Manafort and special counsel Robert Mueller reveal the former Trump campaign chairman is "resistant" to the special counsel's requests for information about the 2016 presidential campaign and Donald Trump.
Two sources who spoke to ABC News said Manafort's team is "pushing prosecutors for a plea agreement that does not include cooperation, at least as related to the president."
On Tuesday night, the Washington Post reported that the former Trump campaign chairman was in plea deal talks with Mueller in the days prior to jury selection for his second criminal trial in DC. In late August, the Wall Street Journal revealed that Manafort was seeking the deal now being negotiated.
