Vice President Mike Pence's spokesman issued a statement denying involvement in an anonymous New York Times op-ed revealing White House chaos.

Pence has been identified as a possible author of the extraordinary piece, which shows White House officials disobeying President Donald Trump's erratic and dangerous orders, but his spokesman insisted the vice president did not write it.

"The Vice President puts his name on his Op-Eds," said spokesman Jarrod Agen. "The @nytimes should be ashamed and so should the person who wrote the false, illogical, and gutless op-ed. Our office is above such amateur acts."
