CNN's Jake Tapper quickly fact-checked former South Carolina Lt. Gov. Andrew Bauer, after Bauer claimed that President Donald Trump does not have a history of racism.

After Trump proudly called himself a 'nationalist' people have speculated what the president meant by using a term loaded with racial undertones.

"The president for five decades worked in one of the most diverse cities in the world. He worked with blacks and whites and people of all races and colors with unions and elected leaders from across the board and nobody ever said this about him. He gets things done," Bauer said.

Tapper quickly reminded him of Trump's past.

"He was sued for discrimination in housing by the Nixon administration," Trump said.
