CNN's headquarters in New York City were evacuated Wednesday morning after the discovery of a suspicious package. As CNN staff spilled out into the busy streets of midtown New York, the NYPD bomb squad investigated the scene and prepared to disarm what appears to be a dangerous explosive device.

According to police sources interviewed by TMZ, the CNN package was sent to former CIA director John Brennan, now a CNN contributor. Brennan has been a fierce critic of President Trump, and the two have battled over Twitter and other platforms.

Packages containing explosive devices were also mailed to Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama. They were intercepted Wednesday, days after a similar package addressed to philanthropist George Soros was discovered.
