Artist Kanye West gave a jaw-dropping speech while meeting with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office. During his time with Trump, West dropped an F-bomb and talked about his affection for the president.

Political commentator Van Jones said that people should be careful about how they analyze West's performance. He also explained the reasons why the meeting was an epic fail during a panel discussion with CNN's Anderson Cooper on Thursday night.

"There is a right way and wrong way for celebrities to engage with the White House," Jones said. "It involves no cameras so you can actually have a conversation."

"He was not as prepared as he should have been. What we saw was someone who was not in a healthy place. I was very concerned by what I saw, and I don't think the White House showed good judgment," he said.
