A federal judge has ordered the Department of Justice to take possession of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort's real estate properties later this month.

In a court filing released on Wednesday, District Judge Amy Jackson authorizes the Attorney General of the United States to seize Manafort's apartment in Trump Tower and his home in the Hamptons.

The order says the seizure will occur "on or after October 20, 2018." Earlier this year, Manafort was found guilty on eight counts of bank fraud and other crimes.
