President Donald Trump attacked Stormy Daniels on Twitter Tuesday, calling the former porn star a “horse-face” and a con.
The tweet came in response to a federal ruling that found Daniels’ lawsuit without merit and found her responsible for Donald Trump’s legal fees.
The Internet reacted with shock at Donald Trump’s glaring sexism.
Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti shot back:
“You are a disgusting misogynist and an embarrassment to the United States,” he wrote. “Bring everything you have, because we are going to demonstrate to the world what a complete shyster and liar you are. How many other women did you cheat on your wife with while you had a baby at home?”

Others were not more charitable, pointing out that the attack was hardly what one would consider “presidential.”
Wherein the president of the United States calls a woman “Horseface.” https://t.co/2nh2tyKnzb

I think it’s probably a sign of my humanity that I still retain the capacity to be surprised, but I wish it would go away.

Still others pointed to the irony of Melania Trump’s anti-bullying work, embodied in her “be best” campaign:

I hope everyone observed, Melania Trump, an immigrant to the US, stood beside her husband smiling while her lieing, cheating husband with possibly STDs defamed another woman who was born in the United States. Teaching Baron good behavior. Yea, "Be Best " or is it "De Dest"?
