MSNBC anchor Lawrence O’Donnell ridiculed President Donald Trump on Thursday for holding a rally in a Montana town that loathes the Republican commander-in-chief.
“Tonight, the president was campaigning in Montana, trying to defeat the re-election campaign of Montana’s Democratic senator, Jon Tester,” O’Donnell reported.
“Donald Trump made the mistake of holding his rally in Missoula County, one of the most liberal parts of the state of Montana, and one of the few Montana counties Donald Trump lost in 2016,” he noted. “And tonight, the resistance to Donald Trump appears strong.”
“There’s a giant ‘M’ on the side of Mount Sentinel overlooking Missoula, Montana,” O’Donnell noted. ‘Today some residents added a few more letters to their giant ‘M’ that President Trump couldn’t miss, spelling the word ‘impeach’ — that’s what it says.”
“On nearby Mount Jumbo, there is a giant ‘L’ high above Loyola Sacred Heart Catholic High School, some Missoula residents also added a few letters to that giant ‘L’ which now spells the word ‘liar,'” O’Donnell reported.
“And there’s no doubt who they were talking about,” he added.
