Congressional Democrats are rapidly embracing a bold plan by Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) demanding Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) create a Select Climate Committee -- and only include members who refuse to accept campaign contributions from the fossil fuel industry.

Ocasio-Cortez, the youngest woman ever elected to Congress, has been asking her supporters to back a "Green New Deal" plan by establishing the select committee.

On Saturday she asked her supporters to contact their congressional representative on Twitter and "call them on Monday, too."

On Sunday evening, Rep. Jared Huffman (D-CA) became the 10th member of the Democratic Party caucus to back the proposal.

Here is what some of the Democrats have been tweeting about their support.
