The victory speech given by Rep-elect Anthony Constantino, who will take a seat in the House in January, left Daily Show host Jordan Klepper almost speechless on Thursday night.
Appearing before reporters, supporters and, notably, a little girl standing right in front of him, the New York MAGA Republican dropped f-bombs and spent a considerable amount of time pointing at journalists and calling them “a———s” and “f——-g a———s.”
Klepper started off the segment showing clips of the fledgling lawmaker’s rap act and pointing out, “He isn’t your grandpa’s Republican. He’s your ‘cousin who can’t see his kids anymore’ Republican.”
Then came the victory speech clip that began, “Listen, you scumbags,” with Comedy Central forced to bleep many of his insults.
After Constantino admitted, “I want to be clear, I’m not a politician, “ Klepper added, “Yeah, no, I can tell. We can tell from the number of times you called people a———s in your victory speech!”
The Comedy Central clip then focused on the little girl standing in front of Constantino, as the audience groaned and gasped, with Klepper mimicking the lawmaker saying, “Anyway, I hear some a——-e in the crowd is turning 10 today. Happy f-----g birthday.”
