Fox News host claims CNN's Jim Acosta was 'provoking a physical confrontation' and mocks anger over doctored video

On Saturday, Fox News host Jesse Watters mocked those angry about the White House sharing a doctored video of CNN reporter Jim Acosta refusing to hand a microphone to a Trump intern, and accused the reporter of "provoking a physical confrontation."

The segment was set up as a discussion of Acosta's ethics, with Watters waiting to the end to discuss "the whole arm push, whether it was, whether it wasn't."

Watters eventually went back to the controversy over the video, which multiple experts have said was doctored to make it look like Acosta chopped the intern's hand.

President Trump has claimed the obviously doctored video was not doctored.

"I guess the White House is being accused of altering or doctoring the video or something like that," Watters claimed. "I don't know if they did or not."

Watters then accused Acosta of assault.

"He has the mic in the one hand and he pulls his arm down on the woman's arm and you can see it go down, so he's obviously provoking a physical confrontation," he said.
