On Saturday, President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, gave a rare interview to CNN's Van Jones.
While Jones introduced the segment by saying that it was "not an ambush" and there would be "no fireworks," his first question knocked Kushner back on his heels.
"What qualifies you to go take on these tough issues all around the world?" Jones asked, noting Kushner's "small resume" and large portfolio in the Trump White House. "Why should we have confidence in you to do all this stuff?
"I think the first thing is the president trusts me," Kushner said. "I think he knows that every task he's given me, from the start of the campaign through, I've been able to do it quietly, I've been able to do it effectively... he's a businessman, and I'm a businessman."
