New acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker made his verified Twitter account private on Friday.
Whitaker came into the spotlight after President Donald Trump fired his former Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
Trump appointed Whitaker moments later, and this action has been highly criticized. Whitaker said that he would not recuse himself from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe.
His account has been made private after reporters investigated his past statements.
