President Donald Trump made millions on the midterm elections through his hotel projects, CNN reports.

The president collected at least $3.2 million in emoluments from Republican campaigns, according to a CNN analysis of Federal Election Commission filings. That number could swell further when the final filings are due.

The biggest benefactor of the president was the Republican National Committee, which spent $1.2 million at Trump's properties since the beginning of 2017.

This year, the expenditures cover venue rentals, catering, and travel expenses.
