Rudy Giuliani claims he 'never said there was no collusion' between Trump and Russia -- not sure about staff, though
Rudy Giuliani appears on Fox News (screen grab)

During a loud and lengthy interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo, Donald Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani claimed he "never said there was no collusion" between the president's campaign and Russia.

"I never said there was no collusion," Giuliani asserted.

"Yes, you have," Cuomo retorted.

"I have no idea -- I have not," the former New York City mayor insisted. "I said the president of the United States. There is not a single bit of evidence the president of the United States committed the only crime you could commit here, conspired with the Russians to hack the DNC."

The host wasn't having it.

"Crime is not the bar of accountability for a president," Cuomo responded.

Giuliani has on a number of occasions been recorded saying there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia -- and also that such collusion would not be a crime.
