President Donald Trump on Wednesday launched a desperate new bid to get his border wall funded by citing questionable numbers of dubious relevance to the current situation in the United States.
"There are now 77 major or significant Walls built around the world, with 45 countries planning or building Walls," the president wrote. "Over 800 miles of Walls have been built in Europe since only 2015. They have all been recognized as close to 100% successful. Stop the crime at our Southern Border!"

The statistic about 77 walls was aired last week during a January 8th episode of "Fox & Friends" in which the president's favorite morning TV show touted "77 walls currently in use around the globe."
Trump regularly live tweets things that he sees on "Fox & Friends" early in the morning, and critics have referred to the show as the president's true daily intelligence briefing.
