Republican strategist Rick Wilson predicted on Wednesday that more bad stories about President Donald Trump would soon come out once more of his associates realize that the nondisclosure agreements he made them sign are totally unenforceable.
Wilson, reacting to the Trump campaign threatening a lawsuit against former White House aide Cliff Sims for violating an NDA he signed, said that it's only a matter of time before Trump's entire NDA-based "scam" comes tumbling down.
"For Trump, it's always been about protecting him from revelations about his roving penis, his shady-ass business practices and his terrible behavior," he said of the president's use of NDAs to intimidate associates. "Ran in to this in 2015/16 when our oppo was rolling. 'I'd love to but he'll take everything I own if I talk.'"
If, as Wilson suspects, the Trump campaign fails in its efforts to sue Sims for breaking his NDA, the floodgates will start to open.
"The WH NDA is roundly dismissed as unenforceable (at least I haven't seen anyone argue they're valid.)," writes Wilson. "The Trump NDA wall will eventually break, and open up vast avenues for reporting."
