The Trump administration is already preparing its legal defense for a future national emergency by using the word "crisis" with as many news outlets as possible.

CNN's Jim Sciutto revealed the tactic in a tweet on Thursday.

"[White House] counsel’s office is prepping legal justification for national emergency, including advising [the White House] to ramp up talk of a humanitarian & security 'crisis'," Sciutto wrote. "[White House] lawyers say the more the term is used, the more citations they will have in filing legal defense."
