Fox News reporter John Roberts was on the receiving end of an angry glare from President Donald Trump, who has been publicly decrying the direction the network has been taking since it suspended host Jeanine Pirro for making bigoted remarks against Muslim women who wear hijab.

During an impromptu question-and-answer session with White House reporters on Friday, Trump pointedly ignored Roberts' questions and then glared at him as he walked away from the media gaggle.

Roberts, confirming that he'd gotten negative vibes from the president when trying to ask questions, wrote on Twitter that "it was a rather chilly March morning..."

Roberts was immediately bombarded by angry Trump supporters who accused him of trying to pick fights with the president and said his behavior reminded them of CNN's Jim Acosta, who is widely loathed by Trump fans who see him as a liberal grandstander.
