Former Gov. Paul LePage (R-ME) had strange accusations about Democrats and Jews during a WGAN interview Monday. The moment came after news broke that President Donald Trump claimed Democrats hate Jewish people.

“The Jewish people in America have been great supporters of the Democratic Party,” LePage said in the interview, according to the Associated Press. “In fact, that’s where their money comes from for the most part. They should be absolutely insulted for what she’s been saying.”

LePage went on to say that Democrats are going to lose money because of comments made by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN),

“I think what they might do, the fundraising might get hurt a little bit, but I don’t think they’re going to desert the Democratic Party,” he continued.
