MSNBC’s Mika drops the hammer on Jared Kushner’s Middle East shenanigans: ‘What exactly is he doing?’

MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski blew a gasket on Wednesday during a conversation with Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT), after Murphy said he had no explanation for why the White House refused to provide Congress with documents concerning the security clearances of President Donald Trump's senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner.

"I'm sitting here looking at the reality that there are New York Times reports, senator, that members of the administration very high up had very serious concerns about giving Jared Kushner a security clearance and that President Trump pushed it through," Brzezinski began. "That's number one."

"Number two, he has no experience in foreign policy -- none, zero," she continued, her voice rising. "And yet he's being tasked with fixing the Middle East."

"And number three, he's meeting with (Mohammed bin Salman) alone while the president is off with Kim Jong-Un?" she went on. "And there's no question raised, no issue, no information about questions about the murder of a Washington Post reporter, and you adding there's a Virginia resident right now in Saudi custody that's being tortured potentially?"

"What exactly is he doing for the American people and for American interests with the crown prince at this time, at this moment in what could he be doing with them that's helpful to America," Brzezinski raged, "and not helpful to Trump's personal financial interests?"

"You have asked the operative question," Murphy replied. "And that is part of the reason why it's so important for the United States Congress and the American people to get a full picture of the president's and president's family's financial records, whether through the emolument clause or through subpoenas."
