Trump gets smacked down for mindlessly parroting bogus Fox & Friends report denying climate crisis

President Donald Trump on Tuesday recited a bogus report from "Fox & Friends" that claimed that pumping unlimited amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere is good for the environment.

Specifically, Trump quoted a former Greenpeace official who has long since been disavowed by the environmental organization over his claims that there is no such thing as climate change resulting from human activities.

"The whole climate crisis is not only Fake News, it’s Fake Science," wrote Trump, quoting former Greenpeace official Patrick Moore. "There is no climate crisis, there’s weather and climate all around the world, and in fact carbon dioxide is the main building block of all life."

The president then added a "Wow!" at the end of the quote.

Greenpeace quickly responded to Trump's tweet and pointed out that Moore is not the organization's founder and that he has not been involved with Greenpeace for decades.

"He is a paid lobbyist, not an independent source," the organization emphasized. "His statements about AOC and the Green New Deal have nothing to do with our positions."

Multiple other replies to Trump's tweet took him to task for his illiteracy on climate science -- check out some of the best reactions below.
