The man who plays the president on television thinks that he could probably beat President Donald Trump if he ran for president in 2020.

According to actor Alec Baldwin, beating Trump would be "so easy" for him.

"If I ran for President, would you vote for me?" Baldwin asked on Twitter Monday. "I won’t ask you for any [money]. And I promise I will win. Beating Trump would be so easy. So easy. So easy."

Baldwin has been the thorn in the side of Trump since he began mocking the president on Saturday Night Live. The president has railed against the show, saying it wasn't amusing to him.

"Nothing funny about tired Saturday Night Live on Fake News NBC! Question is, how do the Networks get away with these total Republican hit jobs without retribution? Likewise for many other shows? Very unfair and should be looked into. This is the real Collusion!" Trump tweeted after seeing the show.

Just four minutes after that tweet, he railed in all caps -- saying he views the legendary comedy show as a threat to America: "THE RIGGED AND CORRUPT MEDIA IS THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!"
