On Wednesday, President Donald Trump did a complete 180 from celebrating special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia report to attacking the rule of law for even letting it happen. In conversation with reporters on the White House lawn before leaving for Texas, Trump called it an "attempted coup" and blasted it as "treasonous."
His remarks horrified veteran prosecutors, intelligence experts, and journalists, who promptly took to social media to denounce the president's rhetoric:
