Hillary Clinton's former campaign manager Robby Mook predicted Saturday that White House adviser Stephen Miller may not win out in his reported feud with the president's son-in-law Jared Kushner for one simple reason.
"I think there's space for Kushner to get in because Kushner is the survivor," Mook said during a panel hosted by MSNBC's David Gura. "He's survived everything."
"Any time you take on him or Ivanka [Trump]," the current House Majority PAC head said, "you lose."
After a shakeup at Homeland Security, reportedly at the behest of Miller in his search for stricter loyalists, reports emerged that the adviser and the president's son-in-law are at odds over their differing immigration policy approaches.
Mook noted that Miller is something of a "Svengali" in the Trump administration for his anti-immigrant policies, whereas Kushner has taken a more behind-the-scenes and bipartisan approach.
He noted, however, that because Trump "loves the chaos" of feuding aides, this reported battle could "just be act 17" of his White House "drama."
