Prominent Republican attorney George Conway continued his habit of ribbing President Donald Trump on Twitter on Thursday.

Conway, who is married to White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, retweeted a Twitter thread suggesting Trump is unfamiliar with the outcome of America's Civil War.

Elaina Plott, White House correspondent for The Atlantic, noted a bizarre story recounted by Boston Red Sox owner Tom Werner after he met with Trump.

Trump apparently thought that the Confederacy beat the Union Army in the Civil War.

Werner reportedly said Trump "is a pretty good raconteur of history and he did say that, uh—he was talking about Abraham Lincoln losing the war and said ‘Well, I know you guys have lost a game or two, but this was a war.’”
