Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris argued on Wednesday that special counsel Robbert Mueller is "essentially referring impeachment to the United States Congress.”
In a statement at the Justice Department, Mueller announced his investigation could not find enough evidence to exonerate President Donald Trump on obstruction of justice suspicions.
While attending an event in South Carolina later in the day, Harris told CNN that Mueller intends for Congress to act.
"I will say what I think that it's a fair inference that Bob Mueller was essentially referring impeachment to the United States Congress," Harris said.
