The internet is outraged after Barr declares Trump asking attorney to lie is 'not a crime'

Attorney General William Barr insisted that it was "not a crime" to direct an aide to lie for him -- and social media users were outraged.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), the Senate Judiciary Committee's ranking member, asked whether President Donald Trump had obstructed justice by asking White House counsel Don McGahn to change his account of efforts to remove special counsel Robert Mueller.

"Well, that's not a crime," Barr said.

"So you can, in this situation, instruct someone to lie?" Feinstein asked.
