The chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday caved to Donald Trump, Jr. and gave him a "deal" to limit his testimony after the president's namesake son complained about being subpoenaed.

The story, originally reported by The New York Times was confirmed by ABC News.

Trump, Jr. has reportedly vowed to pay back the Republicans who fought Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) over the subpoena.

"A source close to Trump Jr says the president’s eldest son is 'incredibly appreciative to the members that went to bat for him, and he will return the favor come the 2020 campaign,'" ABC News reported.
