Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA) said Sunday that Republicans should be having discussions about whether Donald Trump should step aside instead of focusing on President Joe Biden's debate performance.

In an interview on Fox News, host Mike Emanuel asked Auchincloss if Biden's recent interview with ABC News had "moved the needle" on the possibility of him leaving the Democratic presidential ticket.

Legal analyst Mercedes Colwin told Fox News that the U.S. Supreme Court had cleared the way for former President Donald Trump to order a military coup if he's reelected.

Following a high court ruling granting U.S. presidential immunity for official acts, Colwin explained that Justice Sonia Sotomayor was not being "alarmist" when she warned about executive power.

CBS host Robert Costa grilled Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) after former President Donald Trump amplified calls for military tribunals for former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and others.

While appearing on Face the Nation Sunday, Graham was asked about how the Supreme Court's ruling on presidential immunity would impact a potential second term for Trump.

Republican party strategist Scott Jennings got a brutal dressing down from Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) on CNN Sunday morning and had no answers when she listed off Donald Trump's egregious conduct and his plans to become a dictator.

During the panel segment of CNN's "State of the Union," the question about President Joe Biden's political future after a terrible debate performance almost two weeks ago was made front and center when Dingle complained that Donald Trump's recent history is being ignored — and then Jennings made light of it.

Reacting to Biden's poor performance, Jennings smirked and stated, "It's only the commander in chief we are talking about. He's not just a candidate."

"Which is why we should be talking about Donald Trump and all the things he's done," Dingell shot back as Jennings tried to talk over her.

"How he wants to be a dictator!" Dingell said of the former president. "How he thinks [overturning] Roe v Wade is the greatest thing he ever did. And how he wants to give your billionaire friends a tax cut and he thinks Jan. 6 was a great thing."

"You give me too much credit, I wish I had some billionaire friends," Jennings retorted without addressing Trump's issues.

The GOP strategist then continued, "You got colleagues, public, and private, who want Joe Biden to step down. You've got a lot of colleagues in your conference who want him to get out of the way and what they're really saying is we don't have confidence in him to lead for the next four years which really means they don't have confidence in him to lead today."

"This is not a campaign problem, this is a White House problem. There are real questions about whether he's acting independently," he added. "He said, by the way, in his interview with [George] Stephanopoulos the other night, he wanted to do three things: restore decency and now he's got Hunter Biden running the White House senior staff meetings and he said he wanted to do something for the middle-class..."

"Hunter Biden's not running the White House, come on," interjected CNN host Dana Bash.

Democratic strategist Doug Thornell also jumped in with, "That's crazy, Scott."

"I'm sorry, I'm just reading the journalism, I'm pro-journalist here," Jennings attempted.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) faced backlash Sunday after he claimed that former President Barack Obama was "running the country."

During an interview on Fox News, host Maria Bartiromo asked Tuberville if Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) had been hiding President Joe Biden's "mental fitness."

John Ullyot, a former aide to Donald Trump, was scolded Sunday after he attacked Vice President Kamala Harris as a "DEI hire."

During a panel discussion on Newsmax, Ullyot claimed that former President Barack Obama was running a "monarchy" that would select the Democratic presidential nominee.

A furious Glenn Kirschner lashed out on MSNBC on Saturday at one of Donald Trump's many lawyers for inflammatory language aimed at President Joe Biden included in a Friday court filing.

The former federal prosecutor was speaking with ex-prosecutor Katie Phang on her MSNBC show and immediately pounced on a filing submitted by the Trump legal team to Judge Aileen Cannon after the former president debated Biden.

Jumping right into it, he exclaimed, "You know, Katie, so much to dislike both in form and in substance about this one."

"I think what I want to start with is just two short lines from the motion that Donald Trump's lawyer filed yesterday," he continued by emphasizing "Yesterday," and then promised, "We will talk about just how quickly Judge Cannon acted when her actions were going to be to the benefit of Donald Trump."

Returning to his initial topic of concern, he stated, "Here is what they say at the opening paragraphs of yesterday's court filing. Quote, 'President Biden's exceedingly weak debate performance on June 27th.' Quote, 'President Biden's failing attempt to communicate with the voters."

"Katie, I was a federal prosecutor for 30 years and I have never seen language like that in a court filing from a defense attorney or prosecutor," he exclaimed. "Any self-respecting judge would consider ordering it stricken from the motion and then issuing a show-cause order, directing the attorney who authored it to show cause why they shouldn't be sanctioned for turning a court filing into a campaign ad."

At the conclusion of a segment detailing President Joe Biden's struggles to convince voters he's up to the task of serving a second term, MSNBC host Katie Phang was put on the spot by an anti-Donald Trump Republican for the media's conduct since the presidential debate which took place over a week ago.

As Phang attempted to wrap up the segment, GOP strategist Susan Del Percio excitedly interrupted her to complain about the overall conduct of reporters who are still beating the story to death.

"I just wish the Democrats would stop talking about it.," Del Percio argued. "[Former House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) saying, was this a condition or is it an episode? That leads the media to follow. Sorry, it just is!"
