After being censured by his own party and attacked by Trump supporters over his vote to impeach the former president, GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger's allies have assembled a new super PAC designed to support Republicans like him who oppose Trumpism, Vanity Fair reports.

The move comes as Donald Trump builds his own PAC to target those he deems disloyal.

"There's only one way to contribute to our efforts to elect America First Republican conservatives and in turn to make America great again, and that's through save America PAC and DonaldJTrump.com," Trump told the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) this Sunday.

"Americans Keeping Country First has a clearly defined mission to provide air cover for the members of Congress who took votes of conscience to impeach or convict President Trump," Republican lobbyist Mario Castillo, one of the group's advisers, said in a statement.

The PAC, titled "Americans Keeping Country First," is targeting donors who have spoken out against Trump but want to remains members of the Republican Party.
