‘Masterclass!’ Political observers laud President Biden’s final network interview

Political observers took to social media to toast President Joe Biden Thursday night after his final sit-down interview as president.

The interview conducted by MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell aired Thursday night. In it, Biden reflected on what he could’ve improved on as president — and joked that he could’ve been a better "huckster," promoting his and his party's accomplishments.

"I'm not a very good huckster," Biden told O'Donnell during the interview. "That wasn't a stupid thing for [President-elect Donald Trump] to do. It helped him a lot and it undermined our ability to convince people that we were the ones that were getting this to them."

The outgoing president said he likely spent too much time on policy.

"Not enough time on the politics," he said with a chuckle.

Fans cheered Biden's last appearance with the network as president.

“Such an information rich interview with President Biden,” MSNBC host Symone D. Sanders Townsend wrote on X. “Thank you @Lawrence truly a materclass!”

“The Joe Biden in this interview did not sound like a person in cognitive decline,” political analyst Sarah Rese Jones told her X followers. “In fact, Biden sounds light years more lucid than Trump does in his taped and heavily managed Fox News interviews.”
