CNN hosts crack up over 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' parody mocking Trump and Giuliani

CNN's John Berman mocked President Donald Trump with a parody of the holiday poem, "A Visit From St. Nicholas."

The "New Day" anchor opened Monday's episode with a roundup of the weekend's news set to the meter of the iconic Christmas poem written in 1823 by Clement Clarke Moore.

"'Twas the week before Christmas and all through the house, everything was under investigation, including the mouse," Berman said. "Mouse was all I could think of to rhyme with house. His White House, his campaign, his presidential transition, and inauguration and charity and, yes, his personal life."

"What is the president doing about all this?" he continued. "As zero lawyers would advise, he's rage tweeting. He calls his former attorney, Michael Cohen, a rat. Despite the fact that FBI agents obtained a search warrant from a federal judge showing probable cause to look into his office, the president is inventing the notion that they broke in. That is made up."

"The president's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, spent the weekend in an aggressive campaign to move the goalposts on the president's accountability," Berman added. "He's saying collusion is not a crime and that it's possible the president was involved in discussions about building a Trump Tower in Moscow much, much deeper into the campaign than anyone knew."
