Elon Musk is now so incensed about the proposed billionaire tax that he's attacking a U.S. Senator's "pp."
In a tweet Sunday, screen-captured below, the Tesla and SpaceX creator claimed that the senator appeared to orgasm as a result of a Nov. 6 tweet addressing the fact that Musk and other rich billionaires don't pay taxes. Musk, who is about to be the world's first trillionaire, was found to owe $15 billion in taxes off of his stock options, reported CNBC.
"Musk asked his 62.7 million Twitter followers over the weekend whether he should sell 10 percent of his Tesla holdings," noted the report.
"Much is made lately of unrealized gains being a means of tax avoidance, so I propose selling 10 percent of my Tesla stock," he tweeted with a poll. "The Tesla CEO said he would 'abide by the results of this poll, whichever way it goes.' The results were 58 percent in favor of selling and 42 percent against, suggesting he will sell the shares."
Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) has addressed the idea of taxing the uber-wealthy many times over the past several months. Many of them don't actually make traditional income and live off of capital gains and stock options or rolling over loans that they continue to roll over. So, Wyden's Billionaire Income Tax would address that. Musk and other billionaires would prefer raising an income tax on the uber-wealthy because they don't typically make traditional income the way that normal Americans do.
Musk has also been mocked for the shape of his SpaceX rocket being remarkably phallic. He is using it as his avatar on Twitter.
