FBI raid on home of Trump-loving dirty trickster turns out to be another hoax

The FBI on Monday reportedly raided the home of Jack Burkman, a Trump-loving right-wing dirty trickster who has frequently teamed up with fellow Trump supporter Jacob Wohl to run a series of failed smear campaigns against the president's perceived enemies. But according to The Daily Beast, the event was staged.

Wohl told The Washington Postthat the FBI on Monday entered Burkman's home and seized computers, papers, and cell phones before leaving.

A spokeswoman for the FBI told the publication, “We cannot confirm that at this time.”

The Daily Beast later reported that a Virgina man had come forward to say that he had been paid to act as an FBI agent.

"Tommy Abraham told The Daily Beast in an interview on Monday that the Craigslist ad offered $400 cash payments to white male actors who agreed to don FBI badges and windbreakers and film a series of scenes at Burkman’s home in Arlington, Virginia. In the pre-dawn hours of Monday morning, Abraham said that he and a handful of others who responded to the ad converged on Burkman’s home and were filmed acting out an FBI raid there. Abraham supplied documentary evidence to back up his assertions, including emails from an address bearing the name of a company Wohl once ran," The Daily Beast reported.

Wohl and Burkman first emerged into the national spotlight with their botched attempt to implicate former special counsel Robert Mueller for sexual assault back in 2018.

Since then, the two have participated in multiple failed smear campaigns, including one instance in which a woman who claimed to have been assaulted by Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted that Wohl and Burkman paid her to lie about the nation's top infectious disease expert.
