Paul Gosar pushes out more ghoulish social media content following House censure

Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) responded to his House censure by pushing out more ghoulish social media content.

The Arizona Republican was formally censured and stripped of his committee assignments Wednesday by the Democratic majority, but he retweeted the same violent video that got him in trouble afterward and shared a "thug life" meme on the right-wing Gettr platform, reported The Daily Beast.

"The 'Gosar Life' meme featured a photo of the lawmaker with dark sunglasses and an oversize gold chain superimposed over him—along with a supposed joint sticking out of his mouth," the website reported. "He captioned the meme 'can't keep me down' and in an accompanying video accused Democrats of attempting to 'take away my America First agenda.'"

The lawmaker has refused to apologize for posting an anime-style video showing himself murdering Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and attacking President Joe Biden, and he shared it again on Twitter following his censure.

"I believe he's dangerous, unhinged, and is reckless," said his brother Tim Gosar, who thinks authorities should investigate whether criminal charges are warranted, "and is somebody that, as I've said before, needs to not only be censured but he needs to be expelled."
