That time Carly Fiorina swore 'Ted Cruz cannot possibly beat Hillary Clinton'

Ted Cruz has named his running mate, Carly Fiorina -- who once said he had no chance to beat Hillary Clinton.

Fiorina, who ended her own White House bid in February, made the remarks after a Cruz surrogate launched a sexist attack against her after she referred to her own gender during the opening remarks of a debate, reported Right Wing Watch.

Iowa talk show host Steve Deace, who endorsed Cruz and has served as a campaign surrogate for the Texas senator, complained that the former Hewlett-Packard chief executive officer had gone "full vagina" during her statement.

When challenged by another Twitter user, who called his social media post "disgusting," Deace fired back: "Completely agree. I think a GOP presidential candidate's opening statement being all about her gender is disgusting."

Fiorina, for her part, attacked Cruz during an interview with Fox News' Megyn Kelly.

"(Deace) is more than a radio talk host, he is a major surrogate of Ted Cruz and a major endorser -- and this is why Ted Cruz cannot possibly beat Hillary Clinton,” Fiorina said.

She continued hammering Cruz several weeks later, during another interview.

“Ted Cruz is just like any other politician, he says one thing in Manhattan, he says another thing in Iowa, he says whatever he needs to say to get elected and then he’s going to do what he pleases," Fiorina said.
