Tulsa cop who shot and killed Terence Crutcher had another use-of-force incident in prior job

Tulsa, Oklahoma Police officer Betty Shelby, who shot and killed Terence Crutcher on Friday, was reportedly involved in a prior incident of "use of force" while in another job.

According to KOCO-TV, Shelby previously worked at the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office, where she used "force" while serving a search warrant on a suspect in 2010. At that time, Shelby drew her weapon but did not fire.

Shelby faces no disciplinary actions from the Tulsa Police Department. The shooting occurred after she encountered a stalled vehicle.

Some have attempted to justify the shooting by saying Crutcher had PCP in his car.

“Don’t put out stuff that would demonize him and try to make him look like as if he was doing something nefarious. Put the entire story up,” the Crutcher's attorney Benjamin Crump said.

The Crutchers were on CNN Wednesday morning in a heartbreaking interview explaining how they told Crutcher's son where his father was.
