Yet another GOP leader claims to have evidence of the DOJ's 'secret society' — but admits he has to 'dig into that'

On Tuesday, another Republican congressman went on Fox News with claims they've uncovered the existence of a "secret society" within the Department of Justice.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security committee, told the network he has an "informant" who corroborated the "secret society" claims, made by Reps. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and John Ratcliffe (R-TX) on air the night before.

"We have an informant that's talking about a group who are holding secret meetings off-site," Johnson said. "There is so much smoke here, so much suspicion."

"Is there anything more about that?" host Bret Baier asked him.

"Nope, we have to dig into that," the senator replied.

Johnson's flashy admission followed by a claim that he doesn't have any more information to provide in public echoes that of Gowdy and Ratcliffe, the latter of which admitted that although infamous FBI agents Peter Stzrok and Lisa Page texted each other about a "secret society," he's not sure it "actually happened."
