A former lawmaker who is closely aligned with President Donald Trump put Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on notice in a new podcast interview on Thursday.

Elise Stefanik suggested on a new episode of the podcast "The Huddle" with reporter Rachel Bade and Sean Spicer, a former Trump spokesperson, that she has a few stories left to tell about her time in Congress, and that some of them may not paint Johnson in a positive light. Her comments came at a time when Stefanik is currently promoting her new book, "Poisoned Ivies."

Bade posted a clip of the interview on her social media.

"My situation was a unique set of circumstances," Stefanik said. "You have a very challenging situation with special [elections] in New York. You had Kathy Hochul trying to delay the special election. You had a speaker who was losing increasingly control of the floor. I mean, let's be honest, it was very challenging every single day with the rule votes."

"I'm going to save some of these stories for my next book," she continued.
