A heckler was removed from a Turning Point USA event on Friday after shouting insults at Erika Kirk during an address, insults that some suggested were a reference to Kirk’s support of President Donald Trump, whose administration has been accused of “covering up” portions of files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
“Erika Kirk protects pedophiles! Erika Kirk protects pedophiles!” the woman could be heard shouting in a clip of the incident.
The heckler, who was not identified, was eventually removed from the venue, The New York Post reported. After a brief moment, Kirk responded to the heckler.
“It’s important to remember that happiness comes and goes, and I pray that you find it,” Kirk said, eliciting applause from the conservative crowd.
Kirk has been a strong vocal supporter of Trump and his administration, which, like Kirk, has also faced allegations of “protecting pedophiles,” largely surrounding its botched handling of its release of files related to Epstein. Trump himself was labeled a “pedophile protector” in person during a visit earlier this year to a factory in Detroit, Michigan, an insult that the president responded to by giving the worker the middle finger.
