Kevin McCarthy to reward Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar if GOP wins House majority

House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) on Thursday vowed to restore committee assignments of two controversial Republicans.

In February, the House voted 230-199 to remove Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) from the Budget along with Education and Labor committees. On Wednesday, the House voted 223-207 to censure Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) and remove him from Committee on Oversight and Government Reform along with Natural Resources.

During a Thursday news conference, McCarthy said Republicans would reverse punishments.

"They'll have committees," McCarthy vowed.

"The committee assignment they have now, they may have other committee assignments, they may have better committee assignments," McCarthy said.
