Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert defended an anime video depicting the murder of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Wednesday by lobbing smears at AOC's fellow "Squad" member Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

Speaking in defense of Arizona Republican Rep. Paul Gosar — who facing censure for posting an anime cartoon of him killing Ocasio-Cortez — Boebert attacked Omar by baselessly linking her to terrorism.

"Democrat policies are so pathetic and have done so poorly, that the left has nothing else to do but troll the Internet looking at ways to get offended and then try to target members and strip them of their committees," Boebert said. "This is a dumb waste of the House's time, but since the speaker has designated the floor to discuss members' inappropriate actions, shall we, the jihad squad member from Minnesota has paid her husband — and not her brother-husband the other one — over a million dollars in campaign funds. This member is allowed on the Foreign Affairs Committee while praising terrorists."

Boebert was apparently referring in part to allegations that Omar married her brother. According to Politifact, there is no evidence that the allegation is true.
