Trump defends racist Obama video as 'very strong' documentation of key campaign claim

Donald Trump has excused the sharing of a racist video featuring Barack and Michelle Obama to his Truth Social account as it actually details voter fraud.

The president has erroneously claimed for years that the 2020 elections were rigged. His second term in the White House has led to some pressure on mail-in ballots and the repetition of claims that the Democratic Party did not win the 2020 election. Trump's post to Truth Social last week was criticized by politicians, though the president has tried to explain why the video had been shared, The Daily Beast reported.

Political analysts and observers may have left this week's Congressional deposition of Jeffrey Epstein's accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell wanting more, but Congress still has a trick up its sleeve to make Maxwell sing, according to one lawyer.

Ahead of the hearing, Maxwell claimed that she was willing to clear President Donald Trump's name in exchange for clemency, an offer that the president has so far resisted.

Sheriff accused of blocking FBI access to crucial evidence in Nancy Guthrie kidnapping

Federal officials are accusing the Pima County Sheriff's Office of withholding "key evidence" in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie, Reuters reported on Thursday.

"The FBI asked Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos for physical evidence in the case, including a glove and DNA from the home of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, to be processed at the FBI's national crime laboratory in Quantico, Virginia, but Nanos has insisted instead on using a private lab in Florida, the official said," per the report. "Outsourcing forensic analysis to a Florida contractor, effectively denying the access of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to crucial evidence in the case, is delaying the FBI ability to assist in the case, according to the official."
