'Killer': Analyst awed as JD Vance's flails under pressure from betrayed MAGA voter

Vice President JD Vance was confronted by a former Trump voter in Texas about the war in Iran and did his best to respond.

"In 2024, I cast my first-ever vote for you and Trump because of your promises for real change, affordability, government accountability, and foreign policy, particularly to end the cost of foreign wars," said Brock Genz of Fort Worth. "Nearly two years later, while your administration likes to point to its accomplishments, many of us feel like those promises have not been fully realized, especially with another conflict."

"Why should we trust Republicans with two more years to do what we voted for?" Genz concluded.

"There is a difference between criticizing foreign military misadventures and saying that you can never, ever use the American military," replied Vance. "On the whole suite of promises, I think we’re doing a very good job."

But this answer left some observers on social media unconvinced.

"Iran is a killer for JD because it strikes at the very heart of his public persona — attacking the Establishment for being wrong about Iraq — and no amount of gaslighting can cover that up," wrote elections analyst Nick Field.
