Boebert's rough month gets rougher as overdue finances suggest she's 'broke': reporter

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) finally filed her overdue financial disclosure this week, capping a rough stretch for the Colorado Republican, and one veteran money-and-politics reporter says it shows she's "broke."

Boebert filed the report Thursday, two days after The Washington Sun reported she had missed her deadline. It lists no assets and a single liability: a personal loan of between $10,000 and $15,000 from Congressional Credit Union, taken out in January 2024. Members of Congress earn a base salary of $174,000.

Lauren Boebert accused of sex with three staffers in complaint alleging $200K hush payment

Update: Lauren Boebert's office said Sunday that there is "zero truth" in the allegations, and added that, under House rules, the complaint should not be investigated. "Under House Committee on Ethics Rule 15, a complaint may not be filed within 60 days of an election in which the Member is a candidate. This filing was submitted inside that window. The Committee is required to return it," her office stated.

An explosive sworn complaint filed with the House Ethics Committee alleges Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) carried on a sexual relationship with her district director in the office, in a car and in campaign-paid hotel rooms — and that roughly $200,000 changed hands when the staffer threatened to go to the committee.

Lauren Boebert calls for House Dem to be jailed and deported based on conspiracy theory

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) agreed with a far-right influencer that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) should be imprisoned or deported to Somalia, based in part on a conspiracy theory about her former marriage.
