Meghan McCain angrily lashed out at Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Wednesday after he suggested that she has a faulty memory of her father's funeral.
In her new book, McCain claimed that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were "funeral crashers" after her father, Sen. John McCain, died.
But Graham told The Washington Post that McCain was wrong.
“She was upset they were there — I understand that, and she has hard feelings but I know what happened and nobody showed up uninvited," Graham told The Early over the phone. “I love Meghan McCain and I understand how stressful all this has been for her and those who attack her dad will never be forgiven by her."
On Wednesday, McCain fired back at Graham, who has often been described as a "close friend" of her father.
"Lindsey Graham may consider himself a member of my family, but he is not and hasn't been for a very long time," she wrote. "He certainly doesn't speak for me or my life experiences. Full stop. The media should stop treating him like he is an expert on anything McCain related."
