Pardoned Trump ally rages at 'staggering' White House grift after midterm 'annihilation'

Trump’s pardoned former national security adviser is raising alarms about “grifting” inside the White House after Republicans’ massive midterm wipeout. In the process, he’s lending his voice to MAGA influencers who are attacking the president’s inner circle.

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, whom Trump pardoned in 2020, took to X on Friday after watching a clip of MAHA activist Calley Means on Joe Rogan’s podcast. The clip was shared by a fan commentary account, which said Means had “exposed the real people who are running Trump’s presidency.” The account named White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, deputy chief of staff James Blair and others.

“If you want to know why we are so broken in WDC, this explanation tells everything you need to know,” Flynn wrote.

“The depth of grifting is staggering. And here we thought the Biden admin had their grifting and corruption issues,” he continued. “So disappointing, especially now with this recent midterm elections annihilation.”

“Did @realDonaldTrump realize that any of this is going on?” he asked.

Hours later, Flynn boosted a lengthy post from right-wing influencer Mike Cernovich. Cernovich wrote that three people “got spectacularly wealthy by their proximity to Trump”: Wiles, Blair and 2024 campaign co-manager Chris LaCivita.

“It was their job to win the midterms. They failed catastrophically,” Cernovich wrote. He argued that MAGA media spends too much time fighting about Tucker Carlson, Nick Fuentes and Candace Owens and too little on “the real corruption and self-enrichment” inside the administration.

“Every day, James / Chris / Susie have access to Trump. They are rich beyond your wildest dreams,” Cernovich wrote. “What did they do with this power? Why doesn’t anyone ever ask about that?”

Cernovich also said he had been “specifically black listed” from the White House Easter Egg Roll. “My kid couldn’t go the White House because I wouldn’t shill for the Iran war,” he wrote.

“The good news of an a-- kicking is that there’s no way to rationalize it,” he added. “We are now facing a disaster. TEXAS IS BLUE.”

Flynn quoted the post and tagged Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Cernovich.

“Americans must ask themselves who do we want leading our nation in the future,” Flynn wrote. He invoked Harry Truman’s famous “the buck stops here” line and added: “I’d like to know, in this current administration, who decides where the buck will stop? No games, no tricks, just an honest answer for someone who cares deeply about creating a better future for my grandchildren.”

Wiles resigned as chief of staff on Friday and will be replaced by Stephen Miller on Monday. Trump said she will move to his political operation.
